The Oregon Association of Independent Accountants awards accounting scholarships of $1,000 - $2,000 for accounting majors.

Completed Applications Must Be Returned by April 1, 2009

Eligibility requirements:
1. Each applicant must be a resident of the State of Oregon; and

2.Enrolled in, or accepted by, an accredited school for the study of accounting within the State of Oregon; and

3. Must be a full-time student carrying a minimum of 12 credit hours.

Allocation & use of funds:
Scholarship checks will be made payable to the student and the school of the successful applicant's choice.

Scholarships may be used for tuition, fees, books or other academic expenses incurred during the term.

Closing data:
All applicants must be completed and returned by April 1, 2009.

 

Changes in career plans:
Scholarship recipients must notify the Scholarship Foundation of any changes in professional plans or of any change in college or university.

Notification:
Successful applicants for OAIA Scholarship Foundations Scholarship Awards will be notified of the decision of the committee by June 1, 2009.

Selection procedure:
Application will be reviewed by the Board of Trustees of the Oregon Association of Independent Accountants Scholarship Foundation Selection criteria will include:

  •Financial need
•Scholastic achievement
•Personal qualifications
•Professional promise
